  • A hospital in California is looking for an experienced MedSurg/Tele nurse for a travel contract.
  • The right candidate will have 2 full years of experience.

    • Active BLS certification
    • Active ACLS certification
    • Active NIHSS certification
    • Active CA License
      • Schedule Information
      • 4 shifts out of 4-week schedule.
      • Weekend shifts for nights are Fri/Sat & Sat/Sun for days.
      • Travelers are expected to work into the perm staff holiday rotation schedule (1 major holiday & 1 minor holiday).
      • Shifts: 12's 7 - 7:30. Do not be late. Very strict regarding attendance.
        • Unit Specific Information
        • Common diagnosis / Types of patients: General MedSurg patients including bariatrics & all total joints.
        • Must be comfortable with CVA patients, a-fib, amiodarone, set rate cardizem, dopamine & dobutamine only for renal perfusion.
          • Additional Details
          • CERNER REQUIRED
          • MedSurg & Tele (This is a mixed unit)
          • # beds: 39 Beds (37 private rooms & 1 semi private room)
          • Ratios: 1 to 4 tele patients; 1 to 5 MedSurg patients but could be assigned a mix of MS & tele.
          • EMR: Cerner experience preferred.
          • Charge Nurse: 24/7
          • Nurse Aides: CNAs based on the census
          • Floating: Travelers are the 1st to float.
